WE DO NOT REHOME DOGS WHERE THERE ARE CATS OR CHILDREN
UNDER 5 YRS.  DOGS MUST NEVER BE LEFT ALONE WITH CHILDREN.

< Ali

Ali is a super German Shepherd cross bitch.  She is very kind and loving and gentle with children.  She is a bit intimidated by big dogs as she was attacked as a puppy so she needs a confident handler who knows how to give her confidence in situations with new dogs.

Ali will make a wonderful family pet for an active family who can give her enough time, patience and training.

< Millie and Ruby

MUST BE REHOMED TOGETHER

Millie and Ruby are pedigree Dalmatian bitches with really loving kind temperaments.  They are good on walks, need a lot of exercise and are kind with dogs they meet.

They are well behaved, quiet and house trained, and travels well in the car.

We are looking for a family home where they will live indoors and have lots of exercise.

< Buddy

Buddy is a tiny, very cute, affectionate, rough coat Jack Russell Terrier about a year old.  He is a nervous chap who needs to know the rules to give him confidence.  He loves people who are calm and quiet and would not do well in a noisy household.

Buddy is your best friend, he follows you everywhere.  He is good with dogs although can be nervous at first and a bit snappy until he gets to know them.

Buddy needs a confident, experienced dog owner with a lot of time and patience to socialise him and build his confidence.  He will reward with tons of love and loyalty.

Due to his nervous nature we would not rehome him with children.  He needs company so no full time workers please.  He travels well in the car.

Neutered, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped.

< Lassie

Lassie is a 2-3 years old Lakeland terrier.  She is a very bright active little dog with a happy personality.  Lassie will need lots of walks.  She is walked on an extending lead as her recall off lead is not good, she is a typical terrier and if off lead will run about in the undergrowth hunting for interesting smells

Lassie is an escape artist and will climb over garden fences unless very high and secure - we recommend 6-7 foot fencing.  If the garden is not fenced well enough then Lassie must never be left alone in the garden

Lassie has a high prey drive so must be kept under control with livestock and kept on a lead at all times where there are chickens, sheep and cattle.

Lassie is very affectionate and loves to cuddle up on your lap whilst you watch TV.  Lassie is extremely well behaved in the house and is housetrained, able to be left for up to 4 hours, and doesn't chew or get destructive.  She settles well at night and sleeps in her bed in the kitchen.  She is a perfect pet if given enough walks.  She travels well in the car and loves to be out and about with her owners.

Lassie is good with dogs she meets outside but in the house she would rather be the only dog or she gets jealous.

< Barney Bouncer

Barney Bouncer is a one year old Yorkshire Terrier cross who is extremely affectionate once he gets to know you but is nervous of strangers and new dogs that he meets until he gets to know them, he barks a lot when nervous.

He will need a home where he can be socialised, with a lot of time and patience and preferably another dog.

As he is nervous we do not want to rehome him with children.

He will need a lot of exercise, regular visits to the dog groomer, and can't be left alone for more than 4 hours.

Sensible, experienced, calm, mature owners preferred please.

< Winston - GIANT DOG

Winston is a huge Great Dane cross Rottweiler who is as soft as butter.  He is as big as a mature Great Dane but a heavier build.  He is very friendly and loving and gets on very well with dogs, he is currently fostered with an Akita and they play together.

Travels well in the car, sleeps well at night, doesn't pull on lead if wears a harness, good recall off lead.  Winston is house trained, well behaved in the house, a joy to own.

Winston will need a home with plenty of space and he must be housed indoors and kept as a family pet.  Owners with big dog experience will be given preference.

< King Bruce

Bruce is an extremely well bred American Bulldog whose father was placed in the top 3 at Crufts several times.  Bruce is a stunning dog who has been brought up in a family environment and lived with a 2 year old child since a puppy.  He is totally trustworthy with children and other dogs.  He can be excitable and boisterous but is very gentle around the child.  When being walked by foster he loves to meet new children, he absolutely adores children.

He is fairly obedient, has some basic training established but would appreciate more to keep his intelligent mind active.

Bruce enjoys having a bath, he has a good appetite, he enjoys going for walks and lying by the fire at night.  The foster has reported he is so well behaved

This splendid dog deserves a really good home where he will get the love and exercise he needs and he will repay that with tremendous loyalty and affection to the very lucky owner who adopts this beautiful example of the breed.

< Robinson Crusoe - cruelty case

Curled up for days on a wet mattress in the middle of a field, Robinson Crusoe was on his own island of despair after being thrown out of a car and badly injured - his only crime is being a bull breed.

In the freezing weather with snow on the ground, he was abandoned and lonely - he just lay there shivering without the energy to move.  He was desperately thin, his coat in a dreadful state and he was shivering.

He did not deserve this.....

........... because despite that appalling treatment by mankind, Robinson Crusoe is the most wonderful, kind, affectionate Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  He is a small dog, a young adult about a year old.  He is exceptionally well behaved, shows no aggression to people or animals and just loves everyone he meets.  He has responded to the kindness of the fosters and blossomed into an extrovert, happy character with a huge personality and tremendous sense of fun.

This little dog will make a wonderful family pet, he needs a home where he will not be left for long periods and where he will get all the love he needs forever to make up for the huge sadness and loss he has suffered in his short life.

Are you the person to make the biggest difference to this lovely boy?  Could this be your hand stroking him?  Have you enough compassion to bring him into your heart forever?

< Lennon

Lennon is a small beagle type who has a hormone imbalance causing him to lose his fur, so he has to wear a coat to keep him warm.  He is lame with arthritis so will never need very long walks, just a few regular strolls down the road and back and round the field.  He is treated daily with Metacam liquid in his food to reduce the pain of the arthritis, this is obtained from the vet.

Lennon is about 8 years old and is such a friendly loving boy, he has not got a bad bone in his body.  Poor lad has been rehomed twice and been returned through no fault of his own. All he asks is a warm place by the fire, some constant, kind human company and good food.  It is not much to give him but he appreciates a kind word and being stroked on the head and he gets giddy when you pick up his lead to go out for a walk.  He walks nicely on the lead without pulling and he has good recall off lead, he just likes to potter around the woods at a gentle  pace with an occasional trot if he feels sprightly.

Lennon is dog friendly, CAT FRIENDLY and would never chase the free range hens or hurt any livestock.  He loves children although he would need to live with older children who understand to be gentle with him.

Lennon is a super pet and companion for an older family who are able to afford the Metacam he needs to soothe his leg pain.

On veterinary advice we have not neutered him, he is vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped.

< Mylo

Mylo is an 18 months old very small Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross.  He may only be a bit of a titch but don't be fooled......he has a huge personality.  Mylo just loves everybody and is so loving, friendly and affectionate.  You can not but help fall for this little fella when you meet him

<  Mylo is on the left in this photo

He is house-trained, crate-trained, non-destructive in the house and travels well in the car.  He is not food or toy aggressive.  He hasn't lived with children before, however, we feel that he would be fine with children of 10 years old upwards.

Although Mylo has had basic training he does need more work on his re-call and also he pulls on the lead ( his fosterers are working on this).  He is currently in foster care with 2 other bitches, however, we feel he would be best rehomed as either an only dog or with an older calm and confident bitch as he can play in an  over-boisterous manner with dogs and not all dogs are happy with this.

Any potential adoptee would have to be prepared to continue with his basic training and socialisation around other dogs.  Ideally he needs a kind, firm but fair owner that will give him the consistent guidance he needs and someone that is quite active to give him lots of exercise ...the person/persons who adopt Mylo will be repaid ten times over in staffy kisses

< Max

Max is a superb example of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier.  He is a small dog, only 15 inches, and a very well made, good looking boy.

He is exceptionally friendly and a very strong, active little boy who loves his walks and lots of cuddles and kisses.  He snuggles up against you whilst you watch TV

Max travels well in the car but is very vocal for the first few miles due to excitement.  He is house trained, well behaved in the house, and can be left alone for short periods.  Max is quiet at night, sleeping in his basket in the kitchen.

Due to his boisterous enthusiasm he pulls hard at first but settles down especially in a harness.  He doesn't seem bothered by other dogs or people when he is out and about on a walk.  Max will need a lot of exercise.

Max is being treated for a skin allergy at the moment which is preventing us from getting him vaccinated on veterinary advice until it is cleared up.

Neutered, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped.

"Hey Guys,
My names Max ! Aren't I a gorgeous, fantastic example of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier you have ever seen???? well, so the nice people who rescued me keep telling me.  Even one of the ladies at the rescue has fallen in love with me but she has already got another staffy boy like me....such a shame!

I just love people and want to be everybody's friend.  I get so excited when I meet humans ...just a typical, fussy, friendly staffy.
I think I would be best in a home where someone can give me lots of exercise and attention but I maybe too boisterous for very small children...I  don't mean to but when I get  excited  I may knock them over .

My fosterer says that I am a good boy when I am left on my own  for a few hours...I don't chew or toilet in the house.

All I want is a home to call my own and someone who will love me and give me my forever home.  I have been passed around from pillar to post and I am tired now...I just want to curl up next to someone on the sofa and watch TV

Please don't believe what you read in the papers ....I DON'T want to bite you ...I just WANT to lick you to death.

Lots of  Love and big staffy kisses
 Max x

< Roman

Roman is a beautiful, large 9 months old Rottweiler pup.  At 41kg he is a very strong, boisterous chap so his owner will need to be very experienced big dog owner.

Roman is a very, very affectionate dog but has not been fully socialised with people and dogs so will need training to overcome his nerves with strangers.  The foster is walking him with a gentle leader headcollar to gain some control whilst out and about on walks.   He is also being given basic training using "clicker training" techniques and he is learning very quickly.

He is living in the house with 5 other dogs to enable him to learn dog manners and get used to dogs and this is proving very useful in his education.  But he still is nervous meeting new dogs.

Roman wants to sit on your lap which is because he wants cuddles and play, but obviously this is being discouraged by the foster as it is bad manners.  Roman is good in the house, sleeps quietly at night and can be left for short periods.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING FOR THIS DOG.

We are looking for an active home where he will be a family pet and housed indoors and someone committed to providing him the time, attention and training he needs.  This will be an absolutely super dog.

The new owner will be asked to sign a neutering agreement as the vet recommended he is too young to neuter

< Millie and Murphy

MUST BE REHOMED TOGETHER

Millie is a cream 12 years old girl but very active for her age, she is extremely affectionate, loves to play ball and go for nice walks.

Murphy is 6 years old and is very cuddly, he loves to sit on your lap.

Both are very calm dogs and extremely calm and well behaved with children (note that dogs must never be left alone with children).  They are not food aggressive or toy aggressive and are happy to play with children.  They are housetrained and able to be left in the house for up to 4 hours.  They will need a reasonable amount of exercise.

They must be rehomed together because Murphy gets very stressed if separated from Millie

< Dougal

Dougal is a 2 years old pedigree Lhasa Apso.  A very active intelligent little dog, Dougal needs a lot of exercise and attention.  He walks well on the lead with variable recall off lead.  He is well behaved in the house, follows you around and loves cuddles

DOUGAL MUST NOT BE REHOMED WITH CHILDREN - HE BITES THEM.  Dougal doesn't bite adults.

Lhasa Apso's were bred as temple guard dogs by Buddhist Monks, they are a little dog with a huge personality and need the same training and discipline and exercise as a big dog.  Please do not consider adopting Dougal unless you can offer him what he needs to make him a happy dog.

Dougal will need regular visits to the dog groomer and owners must factor those costs into keeping him.

< Tammy

Tammy is a small to medium sized boxer cross about 4-5 years old.  She has recovered from a cruciate ligament operation to her hind leg and is no longer lame.

Tammy has the most loving gentle kind personality and is a very easy dog to live with.  She is very loyal and makes a super companion dog.

Tammy will not need a lot of exercise so would suit a family who just want to go for gentle regular walks.  Tammy travels well in the car so would like to go out and about with her owners.

Tammy has met children and is very friendly with them, however she has not lived with children so we do not wish to rehome her with children.

< Cass

Cass is a terrier cross who is 14 year old but is still full of energy, and playful.  She is very affectionate with adults and children although is too boisterous for very small children.

Cass will walk to heel with a bit of reminding and has variable recall off lead, if there is something more interesting she will go off on an adventure of her own.

Cass is dog friendly and loves to play.  She is well behaved whilst travelling in a car or on a bus or train.

Cass will need to be kept clean and well groomed, the previous owner took her to the dog groomer to be kept in trim or she becomes rather scruffy !!!

< Belle of the Ball

Belle is a 7 months old puppy the size of a cocker spaniel.

Belle has had a life of suffering and neglect which has made her nervous of dogs and people, yet despite this she shows no aggression and loves to play.  Belle really does deserve a kind, loving, forever home..   She is a typical puppy who does some chewing and nipping in play although she means no harm.

Belle is a really special girl who is exceptionally affectionate and tries so hard to please.

Belle is NOT YET HOUSETRAINED although we are working on this training.  An owner with a garden and someone around most of the time who doesn't work is preferred.  She doesn't want to be left for long hours alone, that is all she has had in her life and we want better for her from now on.

We are looking for an older family with no children and loads of time, patience and experience, who can socialise her with dogs and people and give her sufficient training to bring out the best in this mischievous girl.  She is active so will need a lot of exercise.  A home with other friendly dogs would be ideal.

Can you make this lovely pup the Belle of the Ball?

Vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and microchipped, Belle's new owners will sign a contract to commit to neutering once she is old enough.
